WHEREAS, a diverse and representative task force is essential to ensure that all stakeholder perspectives are considered in developing AI policies and practices that serve the best interests of our students, staff, and community; and
WHEREAS, the district seeks to be proactive in addressing the opportunities and challenges presented by AI technologies, ensuring our students are prepared for an AI-enabled future while maintaining the highest standards of educational quality, equity, and ethics; and
WHEREAS, collaboration among educators, administrators, technology specialists, parents, students, and community members is essential for developing comprehensive and effective AI governance frameworks; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to establish clear objectives, responsibilities, and timelines for the task force to ensure productive outcomes that can be implemented district-wide;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Education of [School District Name], in regular session assembled this [DATE], as follows:
Section 1. Task Force Establishment. The Board hereby establishes the [School District Name] Artificial Intelligence Task Force ("AI Task Force"), which shall serve as an advisory body to the Board and Superintendent on all matters related to artificial intelligence in education.
